Mission Statement

To develop climbing and support young people into competition

To establish a team of dedicated young people to represent climbing and The Foundry nationally and in competition
To consistently produce podium standard climbers
To provide the best quality coaching and support for young people
To deliver onward training into the outdoors
To promote high quality and best practice and safety in all aspects of climbing

To hold regular events at The Foundry to support and recruit members
To collect annual subscriptions from members
To identify and allocate roles of responsibility
To source funding and sponsorship from appropriate organisations
To be financially independent and sustainable
To provide an appropriate Academy identity through clothing and other imagery
To provide monthly training sessions
To provide support for competitors before, during and after competitions
To develop an online system for communicating information
To ensure sufficient equipment is available to The Academy to meet it’s delivery objectives
To provide support for senior team members, who remain dedicated to the spirit of The Academy and continue to contribute their skills and experience, in the form of an annual award towards their climbing costs
Contribute information to develop an understanding of youth development, training, coaching and climbing.
